What I found interesting was that a concentrated rainfall of fairly short duration can cause such a disruption in a place that one would assume having to cope with heavy rains.
Based on a quick look, Bergen's annual rainfall average is over 2200mm, compared to about 1000 in Genoa and the cumulative rainfalls reported in the news article are less than half of what the graphs in
Antonio's recent post seem to indicate.
