Delft3D

Delft3D is an integrated 2D-3D modelling suite consisting components to compute flow, wave, sediment transport and morphology, water quality and ecology. The suite is developed and maintained by Deltares (Delft, The Netherlands) and used by many users around the world.

MASCARET, RFSM, Property Damage and Spill Calculator

Hydraulic and impact analysis is performed through the OpenMI composition of four individual models: MASCARET, an integrated suite of solvers for use in the field of free surface flow, Rapid Flow Spreading Model (RFSM), a simple overland flooding tool, Property Damage, an impact evaluation tool and Spill Calculator, an auxiliary tool. The models work as one single composition run through the DRIHM portal. The composition was put together using the Fluid Earth tools and is available in the DRIHM e-infrastructure as pre-configured virtual machine running the OpenMI composition.

HBV

The HBV model (Bergström, 1976, 1992) is a rainfall-runoff model, which includes conceptual numerical descriptions of hydrological processes at the catchment scale. HBV can be used as a semi-distributed model by dividing the catchment into subbasins. Each subbasin is then divided into zones according to altitude, lake area and vegetation. The model is normally run on daily values of rainfall and air temperature, and daily or monthly estimates of potential evaporation.
