Cb-TRAM

The Cb-TRAM (Cumulus Tracking and Monitoring) method analyzes satellite data, enabling thunder cells to be detected, tracked, and forecast for up to one hour. Assessing the view of the clouds “from above,” it supplies an upper air space overview of the current thunderstorm situation. The information is presented in a manner that is easy to understand. For pilots and air traffic controllers in particular, this provides quick, comprehensive decision-making assistance when the risk of thunderstorms arises.
